Recent History

Mexico is the largest supplier of marijuana and methamphetamine to the U.S. and is the primary shipping route for 90% of the cocaine trafficked into the States. The abundance and proliferation of drugs in Mexico has created

an environment of survival of the fittest for thousands of children. 40% of the population lives below the poverty line.

Violent crime is an everyday occurrence in cities throughout the country as rival drug cartels and dealers fight over territory and customers. Mexico’s murder rate is almost three times higher than in the U.S. Children are especially vulnerable of being orphaned by violence, neglect, or abandonment.

Poverty and violence have left nearly two million children orphaned.

God’s Kids in Mexico…

God’s Kids is working in three

different areas of the country to

give hope to orphans:

• In Tijuana, God’s Kids has

partnered with Casa Hogar Belen,

a family-run orphanage in the

heart of the city.

• In rural Creel, we have been supporting the Aljabar Orphanage for years in their work to show Christ’s love to Native American orphans.

• And in Mazatlan, God’s Kids supports four feeding centers that feed and minister to close to 240 kids every day.

A fifth center is in the making!

“I don’t have to give birth to

these children for them to be my kids.”
